Acting President, Farooq. A. Naik has officially announced the civil servants' amended ordinance 2009, which has been implemented with immediate effect.

According to ministry for law and justice, the sub-section 9 of article 9 of the civil servants' act 1973 has been amended; according to which all promotions of grade21 and22 would be made over recommendations of the selection Board.

The Board would comprise of chairman and members, appointed by government according to civil gazette
